Is it spring yet?

So, a lot of things have been happening.

After arriving home on the 14th, we’ve been busy just around here. jhm is settled, for the most part and the weather has been so nice that last weekend we dug flower beds and worked on the back yard, and this coming weekend will be more of the same.

FYI, we did arrive

We did finally arrive.

We were held up by immigration for about a week, but arrived at YYC from SEA on the afternoon of the 14th of April. Everything went smoothly at that point and with the exception of a lot of added expense we and the cats are safe and sound.

/me sighs

What a trip….

Underway

Saturday we went to Seattle. It’s an amazing city full of life. We met friends that night at a Krispy Kreme for donuts and coffee and to talk, really cool.

Yesterday we packed, today we finished packing and picked up the truck. I’m still loading some of the boxes and odds and ends (computer goes soonish).

Tomorrow morning we drive to U-Haul, pick up the trailer for the car, load and be underway. We should be in Calgary by tomorrow night and unloading then/Wed.

But, it’s beautiful here on the west coast, already spring (T-Shirt weather) and flowers and leaves are out in full force. In a lot of ways I wish we were moving here instead… Someday…

And something else is underway. On Saturday night, outside the doors to the Seattle Aquarium, in the last of the light with my arms wrapped around jhm I proposed and she said yes. We will be married in May.

jhm, I love you so much there are no words.

Trips and Snow

Showing today, one of those wet snowfalls that stick to your coat and make your hair wet.

It’s kind of cool the last couple of days but it’s supposed to get better very soon. A couple places I’ve noticed the grass getting green even…

Picked up my passport yesterday, or rather the canadian governments passport with my name and picture in it. Doesn’t really matter either way as long as it helps me get to the US and back again.

Things to do:
Clean the house,
Pack up my stuff for the trip,
Talk to someone about watching the cats
