Home and bits of a quiet life

Home is where the heart is, and right now part of that heart is in Hawaii visiting her folks and old friends. I miss her and can’t wait until I board that plane to meet her and spend one wonderful and beautiful week in the sun with her. I’ll meet her parents, brother, and family as well as her friends. I’m so excited (256M of pictures to upload per day? maybe)!

So until then I wait for phone calls, irc /msg’s, and aim. I work, play with the kids, do journal entries (hahahaha), read, and try to get enough sleep.

Worked on the cars this weekend; maintenance. Mowed the lawn, worked on the flower beds and it looked so pretty after I had to post pictures in my photo album.

One slight change now and one later on my journal. I’m not going to post to the other 2 (projects and shorts) and instead I’m going to have one blog and post everything. That’s starting today. I’m also going to change publishing systems since I want something that’s more maintainable. jhb started using Word Press which is free (MT changed licenses) and looks fairly good. She likes it, and who am I to argue.

I’m also going to try and post even a short entry every day, just because. PLEASE NOTE, my life is boring, and although I sometimes actually find the time to write something good, most of the time my life is so unimpressive that I feel completely uncompelled to write anything; but at the same time I want to write down the more notable things in my day (IE, above garden and cars).

So anyway at some point in the near future I’m going to convert to WP, I hope soon as otherwise I won’t have the time to do it. I do have the entire month of July off work, soooo… maybe.

It’s done

So, it is done and I can’t be happier.

On Saturday at 1:30 pm in front of my kids, my mother, mark, my best friend and his wife, and a few people via web cam (most importantly jhb’s mom and dad) we were married, and by about 1:50 the marriage commisioner announced us husband and wife.

We had a great night on Friday, with friends from work over for drinks. Saturday a wonderful day with the wedding, dinner, and a night with more friends (including upside down margaritas) and today (monday) my family came to visit and meet jhb. It was an incredible weekend and one I will never forget.

So, now I’m tired but so happy there are no words.

jhb, when you read this know everything that I am is yours for always.

I love you and will hold you forever.
