Canadian Music Creators Coalition

Go directly to www.musiccreators.ca and sign up for their mailing list. If you know of a Canadian musician that would support their cause, tell that musician to sign up and support their cause.

We need to have a lot of involvment with this. Put a link to their site on your web page. Blog or Journal about it. Make it known.

I’d like to say thank you to those who decided to start this coalition. Without Canadian musicians speaking out we would not have the true picture of this issue. Thank you again to every single musician that signs up to show their support.

It is spring

Yesterday was the first day this year that I could tell it really really is spring. The air was spring like, the grass is starting to green in places, I thought I could smell flowers, it has been raining.

We have emerged from winters great flurry into a world of colour, smells, warmth, screen doors and water where soon it will be warm patio weather beneath a sky of cobalt blue and buzzing insects. I loved snowboarding this past winter but (with the exception of maybe one more go) it may be time to put away winter activities, get on my bike and once again explore the Calgary streets and pathways.

Summer is on its way and with it we will bring a new life. Another season of ever changing time.

What I did on my vacation.

So this week I took Friday off work with the sole purpose of renting a truck, hauling junk to the dump, and cleaning up our garage. I need room out there as I’m going to be building furniture for the baby, Jaime and me at least. So I built shelves and a bench then put everything away that I had room for.

Next, I need to haul away a few old computer bits and figure out what to do with the bikes. Right now they are really in the way.

I did (for the most part) photo document the garage changes so that I can see (and remember) what the whole thing looked like before and after.
