I've discontinued maintaining the update-version patches as currently 2.4 is
in a stable place, and the latest 2.4 kernels have been made unusable under FC
due to the inclusion of nptl.  The 2.6 series have several stable variations 
which are maintained by the various distributions.  I may pickup a 2.6
stable update-version in the future but that is very unlikely.

Thanks to all the comments and feedback from people at large and at the
various distributions, it was well received.  Sorry to those of you looking
for a stable 2.4 version as I should have posted this here several months
ago when it became apparent that I could not longer maintain the
update-version patches any longer.

This directory contains only patches released to supplement the existing
main branch of the kernel. 

This patch set will fix only security problems and provide bug fixes in the
current release kernel, there are no new features, only fixes.  If you're
looking for new features, move along there's nothing to see here.
